This privacy policy applies to Silverlog's tool apps: Bellows, Crop, DoF, Flash, Hyperfocal, Meter, Meter Pro, Mix, ND, Pinhole, Reciprocity, Scan, Stars, Sun, Timelapse and Timer.
It does not cover the Silverlog app itself (the logbook: Silverlog 1.x on the App Store, and Silverlog 2, coming to the App Store and Google Play), which offers accounts, sync, location and photos. That app is covered by the main privacy policy.

The Short Version
The tool apps keep what you enter on your device. Your settings, calculations and anything else you enter stay on your phone or tablet and are never sent to us or anyone else. The one thing the apps send is a crash report when something goes wrong.
What Data We Collect
Only crash reports. When an app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry, our crash reporting service, so we can fix it. A report says what went wrong and where in the app's code, with which app it was, the app version, the device model and the operating system and its version. The apps don't add your name, email address or anything you have entered. The apps also send performance timings for one in five sessions. Sentry stores these reports in the EU.
The tool apps do not:
- Ask for an account or a login
- Use analytics or advertising services
- Access your contacts or your photo library
- Send what you enter to us or anyone else
Permissions
- Camera (Meter and Meter Pro): used to measure the light. The pictures are used for the reading on your device and are never sent anywhere.
- Location (Sun): used, while you use the app, to work out sunrise, sunset and golden hour where you are. The calculation is done on your device and your location is never sent anywhere. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time.
The other tool apps ask for no permissions.
Local Storage
The tool apps store data locally on your device to save your preferences, settings and anything you save in them. This data never leaves your device and is only accessible to the app itself. If you uninstall an app, this local data is deleted.
Tips
The tool apps offer optional tips, which are in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app keeps a note on your device of the tips you have given; it is not sent to us.
We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment details, credit card information, or billing address. For information about how Apple handles your payment data, please refer to the Apple Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy
The tool apps do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. They contain no age-restricted content and are suitable for all ages.

The tool apps do not integrate with any other third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how the tool apps handle data, we will update this policy and change the “Last updated” date above. Any significant changes will be communicated through app updates.
