Buying guide
The 5400 II scans faster but has a cheaper plastic body and new holders that do not fit the original. Both connect by USB 2.0. Test sensor for stuck pixels and banding. Check film transport mechanism. VueScan required for modern computers. Less common than Nikon but often cheaper.
