The MX (1976) was Pentax's compact mechanical SLR, introduced with the ME in response to the compactness trend started by the Olympus OM-1. It has a 0.97x finder covering 95%. Test the meter LEDs and shutter speeds carefully. The LX (1980) is the system body.
