How they work together

Ilfotec DD-X: Fine grain, high acutance, full film speed, normal contrast. Full emulsion speed with excellent shadow detail.
Ilford HP5 Plus: A robust, all-purpose film. Slightly lower contrast than Tri-X with excellent shadow detail and pushability.
