EI is the speed the film was rated at when shooting. Evidence says where each time comes from: the manufacturer’s own data, a named test, a compilation or several agreeing reports (community consensus), or one person’s report. Times marked “not yet verified” come from secondary sources and haven’t been checked against a manufacturer datasheet. Where sources give different times, every one is listed and marked “sources differ”.

Other temperatures

Colour developers run at 41°C (106°F) with a tight tolerance of around ±0.3°C, so there’s no reliable temperature chart. If you can’t hold the temperature, follow your kit’s instructions for its lower-temperature times.

How they work together

Kodak Vision3 500T 5219
High-speed tungsten-balanced motion picture negative with remjet backing, using Kodak's dye-layering technology for low shadow grain and wide latitude. Sold to stills shooters mainly via respoolers; the base stock behind CineStill 800T.
Notes on this pairing
  • Kit time; applies to any ECN-2 film. Developer at 41.0 ±0.2 °C for films 1 to 6; 3:30 for films 7 to 12. Remove rem-jet by hand in warm water after the pre-bath.
