Handle chemistry safely
Wear gloves and eye protection, work with good ventilation, and read the supplier’s safety data sheet before use. Hazard information here is a summary, not a replacement for it. Dispose of all photographic chemistry correctly, in line with local laws and your local authority’s guidance. Never mix waste solutions, and check the supplier’s safety data sheet before disposing of anything.
Ingredients
| Acetic acid (28% acetic acid) | 48 mL |
| Water to make | 1.0 L (water) |
Notes
Simple acid stop for prints, used as a short agitated rinse. Kodak makes 28% acid from glacial by diluting 3 parts with 8 parts water. SB-1a (125 mL per litre) is the stronger version for highly alkaline developers.
