EI is the speed the film was rated at when shooting. Evidence says where each time comes from: the manufacturer’s own data, a named test, a compilation or several agreeing reports (community consensus), or one person’s report. Times marked “not yet verified” come from secondary sources and haven’t been checked against a manufacturer datasheet. Where sources give different times, every one is listed and marked “sources differ”.

Other temperatures

Colour developers run at 38°C (100°F) with a tight tolerance of around ±0.3°C, so there’s no reliable temperature chart. If you can’t hold the temperature, follow your kit’s instructions for its lower-temperature times.

How they work together

Kodak Gold 200
Kodak describes it as a low-speed colour negative film combining colour saturation, fine grain and high sharpness for daylight and flash, with latitude from two stops under to three over (E-7022, June 2023). Reintroduced in 120 in 2022.
Notes on this pairing
  • Kit time; applies to any C-41 film. Colour developer step, rotary at 38 ±0.3 °C, fresh kit (first 1 to 4 films per litre); rises 15 s per further batch of 4 films.
