EI is the speed the film was rated at when shooting. Evidence says where each time comes from: the manufacturer’s own data, a named test, a compilation or several agreeing reports (community consensus), or one person’s report. Times marked “not yet verified” come from secondary sources and haven’t been checked against a manufacturer datasheet. Where sources give different times, every one is listed and marked “sources differ”.

Ilford Ortho Plus
Orthochromatic film (ISO 80 daylight, 40 tungsten) sensitive to blue and green only, so it can be handled under red safelight and developed by inspection; reds and oranges render dark. 35mm and 120 added in November 2019.
Notes on this pairing
  • Pictorial contrast, Gbar 0.62; sheet gives 5:00 for Gbar 0.70. Daylight EI 80 (EI 40 in tungsten light).
  • Pictorial contrast, Gbar 0.62; sheet gives 8:00 for Gbar 0.70. Daylight EI 80 (EI 40 in tungsten light).
